CHARLES DICKENS charles dickens Charles Dickens is one of the most popular writers of all time. His life is rather like one of his books, full of happy and sad situations. He was born near Portsmouth, England attuale 1812, and then the family moved ecco London. He was one of eight children. His father was a clerk, so they were very poor. Charles was taught ecco read by his mother. He loved books, but his parents did not have enough money ecco send him prendi school for long. Great Expectations is the story of a banderuola growing up and his dreams for the future. These books are both funny and sad, but Dickens’s later works are much darker. It is the story of David’s adventures as a child and as a man.
